School Admissions

At Beginnings, we accept children from 3 months to five years of age, regardless of race, color, religion, ethnic, cultural or physical background. Preference is given to siblings of children already enrolled. All openings are available according to space.

Enrollment

We offer full time and two part time schedules:

Tuesday and Thursday, or Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We are a full day program.

When a space opens in a classroom, applications are checked for possible matches to the schedule and birth date needed to fill the vacant space. Parents will be notified with an offer for that space. (Part time enrollment is available on a restricted basis.) Applicants will be given three days to decide if they want the spot.

Upon accepting enrollment, parents must pay the registration fee of $125. In addition, families will be billed for first and last month’s tuition upon enrollment. These fees are non-refundable.

Waiting Lists

We maintain waiting lists at both schools.

If we have no immediate vacancies at the time you apply, your name will be placed on a waiting list. Once your waiting list form is received, a tour can be scheduled to visit the program.

Joining the waiting list does not automatically guarantee you a spot. In general, enrollment and room advancements happen most readily between the months of July - September and may also occur as space allows throughout the year.

Rather than enrolling based on the chronological order of applications received, in our process of enrolling new students, we attempt to balance the classes by age, gender, and diversity. Other enrollment considerations include a priority for children with siblings already enrolled in the program, readiness, and space/schedule availability.

Tuitions

Monthly tuition includes access to Beginnings’ programs, meals, parent education trainings, and other services.

Financial Assistance Program

Financial assistance is available to families upon request. Please contact the schools for details and eligibility requirements.

*Tuition is due in advance on the first day of every month. Please note the meaning of tuition is the same as in other institutional settings. There are no refunds for absences, vacations, holidays, emergency closures, etc.

Hours of Operation

Beginnings Schools are open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.

Additionally we close the programs on the day after Thanksgiving, and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day. We occasionally close early for in-service training and our Annual Meeting.
